Sure does. I take that to mean that we'll see the 7sp manual in both the new Vantage and I reckon the DB11 too at some point.https://www.motormag.com.au/news/1703/aston-martin...
What do I know though
Great to hear, although I fear people like myself who applaud these sentiments are in the minority, hence there's only one manufacturer left producing N/A V12 manuals. As far as pure interaction and enjoyment of driving goes, the RWD, naturally aspirated, manual configuration is as good as it gets and that becoming virtually unobtainable. The big question will be whether Aston move to forced induction as per DB11. I feel that's as important as the gearbox.

I think this is a given really. I'm not an engineer or anything like, however I'd assume it's getting nigh-on impossible to carry on using NA 8's and 12's and meet the ever more stringent emissions rules whilst also increasing fuel efficiency at the same time. Big Ry said:

A very long time ago I bought an Series 1 1/2 E-Type from the US, the only way Jaguar could meet their regulations was to replace the SU Carbs with Strombergs which strangled it to death. Enterprising souls put a low-speed diff in them to improve the 0-55 mph times. I took it on the motorway & at 70 mph I thought I was in 2nd!! Didn't keep it long!
