It is aye, but since I smashed my S1000R to bits on track last spring I have been itching to get back on a big bike again.

The Forza was just being bought as a tool to do a commuting job, but I've decided to put that cash in to the Aprilia instwad and I'll just use the car for work instead and use the bike on the odd sunny day and on POETS day too.

Excuse the mess of a garage, doing some building work. Was getting fed up of the 1 hour cross Birmingham commute. Vespa gts 300 cuts it down to 30 minutes. Great fun too!

You're probably right but the Vespa allows for, lets say a more comfortable filtering experience

How did you find the MT-07? Researching a used middleweight naked led me to that 2018 thread.

Bike theft is getting bad here in Cambridgeshire.

Local news stating 50 stolen in one month, all sorts of bikes.

What's happening to them all?

Broken up for spares?

Bunged in containers to leave the country?

I wonder how many go missing across the capital each month if Cambs is seeing 50?

I have an old 125 Cygnus I’d like to sell but local thefts have stopped me from advertising it.

Thanks to the attempted theft of a few weeks ago and being stolen a couple of times before, my poor old Vespa 300 is a mess.

The ignition switch and barrel is cable tied to the radiator filler thus the push to open the glovebox no longer works.

Glovebox is gaffer taped closed and as the steering lock is broken I can only turn the key to off, which means the button to open the seat is permanently live.

Gaffer holds other bits together, bodywork scratched, bashed, split.

But it still goes and has an MoT. Can't see why it won't pass the next.

It's a real shame as I'd like something newer but I'd be worried about it all the time.

I'd like to fit a rack and a decent topbox as that will encourage me to use it more. Shopping, carrying equipment etc but at a cost of £200 to £300 approx, I can see me getting it fitted only to have it nicked.

I just have to use it and expect to lose it, but at least by now it owes me nothing.

Bike thieves should be hung.

“ Bike thieves should be hung.”

That’s a bit harsh, maybe remove a limb each time they are caught..

If we can do it sans anesthesia I'll commute the death sentence to limb withdrawal.

Just about complete after its refurbishment.

I've got some titanium bolts on the way for the variator cover as I'll be running it without the plastic over-cover. Have to helicoil the mirror mounts on the switchblocks (kit is coming in the mail), hunting around for Ohlins which will fit this bike - the rear shock off a Honda Grom will do for the front and I found the "HO 831" is nearly what I need but the clevis on the bottom needs changing for something wider and shorter (it's 33mm longer than mine). I've got some solid engine pivots I bought many years ago to put in and I want to repaint the centre stand.

Parts can be a bit little bit hard to find but when I was turning over the internet in my endeavours I happened across the work of art otherwise called the Ottopountono 8.1 Fireblade engine case for 180cc Piaggio. OMGEEEEEEEEE!

How much?! Struth.

Love the Italjet though, must admit I'd love one if I ever start working in an office and need a fun scoot.

Loving this thread. This was mine and ironically my last 2 wheeled petrol powered vehicle. Used mainly for commuting a Gilera ST200 which looked identical to the 125. So I was constantly chased by those who assumed the same. Only to be left behind. Which to be fair was kinda fun.

Did you find a powered two-wheeled replacement?

Well if you count my Tern pedelec (pedal assist) bike. Which I now commute on. Then I suppose so yes.

Yeah, they're quick-ish. That they're 107kg, CVT and low geared (max 140kmh) they get what they can out of the nineteen horses they put out.

I looked at importing one to me (SE Asia) but the cost to buy was outstripped by the cost of shipping!

Two stroke lovelyness.
