Had a few scoots over the years, the free parking at the train station has saved me a fortune.

1995 Suzuki AN125

2013 Honda Pcx

Current 300 Forza

And forza on order, at the docks now

Would like to have gone electric, that BMW earlier in the thread looks great, but the price?

I was working on a Paralympic triathlon and the main follow cameraman was on the back of the electric BMW. Got talking to the rider. I'm sure he told me it cost him £14k before the modifications yikes

Mind you the TMax can be over £10k.

Can you remove the battery easily on the BMW to take it inside for charging and make it not easy for the usual scrotes?

This is mine. It was my first bike and was originally a standard but rough blue ET3. A few years ago I had a bare metal restoration / retromod done and now it's all pretty and, if I'm honest, a bit scary to ride now it has a heady 18bhp.

I sold my Triumph Thruxton a couple of years ago and decided not to replace it with anything as I never rode it. Even the Vespa has done maybe 20 miles in the last 2 years. You can't leave them anywhere in London these days, and in a few months it'll fall foul of ULEZ, so I shall mothball it until it's eligible for a historic exemption.

The Aprilia Mana is the ultimate ‘scooter’
837cc twin with CVT transmission. Twist and go
All the convenience of a scooter with the handling and performance of a motorbike.
Helmet sized storage in the ‘tank’ as well (fuel tank is under the seat)
Mine was up for sale when lockdown hit, I’ll try to sell it again when we’re back to some sort of normality

All good but that's an auto motorbike, not a scooter.

Looks good like, for a bike ! lol.

The TMax is expensive, good sellers in mainland Europe though.

I road tested a BMW C400 just before the lockdown.

It rode nicely, had a stainless exhaust. But quite small storage under the seat, and the price £6600 OTR

It made the Forza look good value at sub £5,000

And the Forza holds loads under the seat, which is important for scooter buyers.

Can't leave old Vespas in London. or any? I was thinking that 2-wheel commuting into London might be the thing to do when (if) we're allowed out again and that a newish PX might be less likely to get nicked than a twist 'n' go.

All scooters are a theft risk, however get a chunky chain and a tracker and you lessen the risk substantially.

The Scrotes want the ease of twist and go if stolen to use. So I'd hope the gear change on a PX would put them off.

My GT300 went walkies for a whole year until the bugger was caught and arrested. In that time it had done 3000 miles of robbing.

Far bigger mileage than I do a year hehe

Any bikes are a huge theft risk but a vintage Vespa has nothing but a steering lock to secure it. There’s nothing to put a chain round except the floorboards, and I paid a lot for that nice paint!

My 1981 AF Rayspeed S Type which I've owned from new - 1st custom bike suppled by Rayspeed following the move from Watford to the current location on A64 between Malton & Scabbyboro - The picture was taken for an article in Classic Scooter magazine. Its now a 225cc with boost port, Yamaha aerox reed valve & cassette clutch from a honda, 5 speed gearbox. Rode it to Poland last summer for Euro Lambretta - 2000 miles is a long way on a shed built bike.

I've had a few scooters over the years. Normally a spur of the moment thing when I think "I'd use that for commuting to work, its super cheap to run" then I get one and use it about 4 times in a year hehe

Currently have a 1991 Honda Vision Met-in SA50. Seen it local for a few hundred quid and a full MOT. Have no use for it but thought it looked a bit retro cool so went for a look. Took a helmet but decided it'd likely be quicker to get home if I could fit it in the boot, sure enough!

It was a bit rough around the edges cosmetically so thought it might be fun to repaint it in some 90's retro colours and whilst searching found a snap of Senna using one as a pit bike when racing with Mclaren Honda.

Thought it's a simple enough colour scheme to tackle with rattle cans, so after a few weeks of tidying everything up and repainting it, this was the result

Pretty pleased with it! Although now I've used it a couple of times and realised it only gets up to a maximum of 28mph I think it's better sold onto someone who has the space to keep it as an orniment or doesn't mind causing traffic behind them on every journey hehe
Really like that. Love little 50cc peds, wouldn't mind another in the future for some local summer fun!

Lock down project, given to me 18 months ago as a non runner, engine locked solid. I'd got to the point of scrapping it, then lock down happened.
Started looking for a engine, bit rare as it's a carb not fuel injection.
Anyway I found one and the bloke delivered it last Sunday.
Had it running same day and mot'd Monday.

Never had a scooter before but have enjoyed pottering about on it, will probably use it more than the Fireblade.

New Forza has turned up, a social distant delivery by the dealer.

Looking at luggage options as I've never done a touring trip on a bike.

Thank you.

It was a toss up between the Forza and BMW C400

The BMW has a much smaller storage compartment.

Forza takes loads

I thought I'd revive this thread.

Bmw C400 gone, sore subject, don't buy one.

I've always been happy with the PCX's for the local trips around town so I thought I'd have a go at the new model.

Not much different to the 2020 model, but has keyless ignition like the Forza's.

It's meant to have 1bhp more lol

I'll report back when it's run in as to whether it'll reach 70mph.

For my next touring scoot it's either the 350cc Forza, or a Yamaha if I can modify the seat to be a little lower.

I'm interested in any feedback from owners of either.
