Indicated 150mph @ 8.30 in the morning passed a school
On the back wheel?
Of course!
And on the phone...shirley?
Whilst drinking a can of lager?
and munching a hash brownie

210 on the clock of my busa...leathers being pulled off my shoulders and the autoroute becoming rather narrow..which sounds rather impressive but sometime later when I ran it thru a Straightliners timing trap an indicated 190odd was in real money a genuine 176MPH, speedo's are miles out when your deep past the 150MPH mark,as highlighted by last months Bike mag but for making us feel good at times and bragging rights down the pub they have their uses...

The R1's was surprisingly accurate.

Most accurate I've verified with GPS was my Aprilia - absolutely bang on at 167mph, so BIKE magazine agreed.

The fastest bike i've had would be my turbocharged ZZR1400.
Top Speed achieved would have been an estimated 220 mph or so.
Once you are around 200 mph, there is no time for looking at the dials!

The bike had 303 bhp and raised gearing over std., so 220 is about right.

Indicated 180ish on the modded TL by which point it was "Braaaaaaake!!! and Leeeeeeeeeeeean!" biggrin

Scariest was an indicated 130+ on a GPZ500s which felt like about 1 cazillion mph!! biggrin

Had the clock reading 175 (on a private track of course) but know that the speedo is around 20 mph out due to both age and different sprockets

147 according to the speedo, no idea what that is in real terms though (The Hornet just refused to go any faster.)

I failed.

185 on my old 'Busa. Tunnel vision once over 160-ish. Once I'd slowed down again, the adrenalin kicked in as I realised what I'd done. 85 felt like you could step off and walk. Sold bike soon after and bought a Duke 2 for the same kicks at legal speeds.

Most exhilarating - MV1000F4. Sublime handling / braking means proper fast - not just in a straight line.

There, that feels better now I've posted something smart to combat those 220mph tall stor....... sorry, claims laugh

Fastest speed on a biker? About 90 thrusts a minute maybe, my ex was a biker, she had a ZX6R.
But on a BIKE.... genuine 170mph on my ex ZX7R. (bit of work for power and aero)
Hmm 2 ex's in 1 post, am I living in the past?
People don't live in the past enough now, not like how it was in the good old days.
