Fastest speed on a biker? About 90 thrusts a minute maybe, my ex was a biker, she had a ZX6R.
But on a BIKE.... genuine 170mph on my ex ZX7R. (bit of work for power and aero)
Hmm 2 ex's in 1 post, am I living in the past?
People don't live in the past enough now, not like how it was in the good old days.
hehe

On a bike, about 170, indicated, on track, but the most exciting was hitting 55 on my Honda C70 while slip-streaming a lorry downhill when I was a student.

Sadly the fun was short-lived as this was too much for the motor which blew its head gasket in defiance!

I've never ridden a biker . . . biggrin

Haha, sorry I promise to post more! But as you can see the quality of my posts is not great anyway so your not really missing anything. But on a serious note, yeah quickest I have been is 150mph, an that felt very much fast enough!

An indicated 169 on the Blackbird - above an indicated 150 it starts to feel like you need a lot of space for these sort of antics.

That was fairly recently and not unusual - I'm thinking of getting a GS now paperbag

Oh alright then if we're showing off............

I've got a Certificate of Speed from Bonneville - 138.9**mph average, though I was riding a Buell S1W.

Of course, I've been much slower (and a wee bit faster) too!

That's very cool! smile

I did an top speed run at Bruntingthorpe on my Hayabusa. At an indicated 205mph, the bike tripped the timing lights at an actual 189mph. Made stopping at the end quite interesting though! eek

Thanks Matt. Fantastic experience and a hallowed place I need to return to. I have a V8 bike I keep dreaming about taking to Bonneville just for fun.

Car engined bikes can't run for records but the Utah Salt Flats Racing Association run a '130MPH Club' and '150MPH Club' pretty much the same way we have 'Run What Ya Brung', and you can run anything in those 'for fun' only classes. Would be nice to show those Septics the Richard Noble spirit is alive and well, lol.

I've thrashed a couple of Busa's too. Had great fun riding one around Colorado and the Rockies tongue out

203mph GPS verified on a runway on a highly modded GSX-R1000. Sounds scary, but not really, just takes a lot longer to slow down hehe

Ooh not ridden a biker, but been ridden, she was fun hehe

150 on a CBR 600, a quick 1 second glance at the speedo and 50M further down road, scary.
