Afternoon guys, as the title really. Wen to go for a quick ride out today but bike wouldn't start, then i tried to bump start still nothing. Flicked the kill switch a couple of times, still wouldn't turn over from the starter button. Bike has plenty of fuel and battery is fine. Has been out in the rain tho as i didn't cover it when i went to work and it pissed down. Any help much appreciated. cheers Mike

I just asked someone else they said:
Fuses: he will have to look for them, they are probably up front by the headlights, not sure.

if the fuses are ok, and the kill switch, he will have to see if he has feed to the pump. he will need to lift the tank and find the wires for the pump, then check with a volt meter if the is a feed

but it could be his battery has not got enough juice to power the pump.

he doesnt say it was turning over he just says it wont start

Any help?

How do you know that the battery is fine, do you keep it on charge with an Optimate or something similar? Most of my bike starting problems have been the battery.

Another thing that I have also experienced is an iffy contact on th kill switch. Never quite got to the bottom of that one though.

Anyway, I hope you get is sorted.

Thanks for all the help guys! Finally got it sorted. Think its the fuel pump relay or the kill switch(probably due to water in there). Managed to find a service manual online (Bikerchatforum) and downloaded so i could see where the fuses where, etc. Found a relay and when i flicked the kill switch you could hear it clicking. Took it apart and cleaned the contacts, re-fitted and the bike fired. Killed it with the switch then bike wouldn't start again. Messed around again with relay and bingo, fired up. Gonna get a new one ordered and make sure i always remember to cover the damn thing up. Cheers once again
