What possesed you to by that couch on 2 wheels? confused neither wonder she's pissed! she'd probably be more impressed if you rocked up on one of these:

Flog the scooter (I dread to think how much it cost) and buy a proper bike.

Perhaps just spoil her for a bit and let her know that's she's the most important thing in your life
What, like buy her a box of choccies and tell her to get over it?

Simple answer .

Tell her to ride pillion or spend the time at home getting the housework up to date .

Luckily , my wifey has ridden pillion with me for 36 years now and loves it .

The amount of times we have been out with the hard young uns on their litre bikes , got to the coast and all panic breaks out when they realise what the time is biggrin

Get her on board OP or your life will be a misery .

Dont even think that her getting a bike will be an answer , you will just end up going for the most boring ride of your life and wonder what the fukk you are doing wasting good petrol .

Mine got a licence back in 76 just to spite me so she could ride my new CB750 ,( 8 consecutive Sunday mornings with the RAC on a 125 and that was it)

it broke my heart to let her ride it , but that was the deal , and she soon realised she wouldnt ever be as good as a bloke on a bike .

Job done ,we have toured Europe , and go blasting with the herberts , its all good fun .

She does moans like fukk when we start getting to 170's though as evidently it is difficult to hold in there biggrin

I've been married for 18yrs, we've been together for 21, my wife has never got on a bike and has no interest whatsoever, which suits me fine as;

1. I can have a 'monoposto' (single-seat in Ducati speak).
2. There is someone to look after the kids/clean the house when I'm out on the bike.
3. I don't need to buy her biking gear, or even a bike.
4. I can disappear into the garage at night to 'fix' my bike rather than watch big brother with her.
