I have a confession i've been dragging my feet about the whole DAS thing. But after rummaging through here, and reading posts it has helped
me an awful lot, so i would like to say thank you!

I did my CBT in May, i was unsure if biking was for me, and i loved every minute of it, had to wait 3 weeks to do my theory, passed that. Now the
last hurdle i have been dragging my feet, why? I don't really know, what i do know though is everyone else i see riding a bike i feel a little depressed.

I know i'm going to have to pay for my training on a credit card, and its going to be months before i can get a bike, and all my gear, and it will probably
be winter before i can be riding about.

but i think motorbiking is for me. So i am going to go for it! who cares if i'm going to have to go in debt! lives for living!

I know this is who cares stuff, just needed to say it

Get stuck in and do it...

Its great how this new test is making everyone who was pondering, jump in and go for it.

Even if you decide not to get a bike, the DAS course will be great fun and if you want to in the future the option is there.

I'm in such a similar state Livid, I just can't get the thought of biking out of my head. Seeing so many everyday on my 60 miles worth of commuting, all with that typical motorcycle howl as they blast by. Just have to get involved!

Like you, I'm actually putting aside paying off some of my credit cards & just going for the DAS in the hope thats done & dusted before the new test, then come back to biking later in the year when my salary picks up/more cash avail, then I'll splash out on the proper gear & a CBR600 for myself. Till then, I've got 2 cars to keep me company, maybe another, I doubt it'll compare to getting on my CBR & just flying through the country on a summer evening.

...This time next year, I will be a biker, I WILL.

Is it still possible to book a das course before the new test comes in? I'd of thought most places will be fully booked up or certainally will be very soon.

One firm local to me recommended by PH'ers still has a fair few spots before the new test but they also said that they're going like hot cakes. So i just need to put a £100 deposit down to nab one of those, then im sorted.

But having just spent £1100 getting the 328 back on the road, the wallets a tad empty at the mo, so I'm gonna be cutting it fine indeed.
