Mud build up on radiator - mx tips?
Discussion
Any of you off road chaps have any special tips about cleaning out dried up mud from a bike rad? Ideally I'd want some special stuff to spray on to the mud which would dissolve it and I wouldn't have to do anything except lazily aim a hose pipe at it rather than have to do anything lengthy and tedious using small pointy instruments... here's hoping
Cheers,

Rad guard / louvres off and jet wash until clean!
Just make sure you adjust the spray to be as wide as possible as the narrow jet will bend your rad fins.
If the dirt is particularly baked on then alternate between jet washing and soaping to break down the dirt.
How old is the bike by the way?

7 years.Cheers.
If my bike gets particularly stained then Cilit Bang Grime and Lime usually does the trick.
My bike is in my profile pic.....I'm not a proper motocrosser though because I like cleaning my bike!

It's not all been on there for 7 years but I guess it's been building up. I just noticed that there's an area in the middle I can no longer shine a torch through while fixing something else which can't be great for airflow
