what does the collective brains of pistonheads think of this bit of kit working together.

first the ground anchor
http://www.yanchor.com/

and then the chain
http://www.almax-security-chains.co.uk/product.asp...

i know theres no lock there but im looking for a hard core lock for the hardcore anchor and chain.

Hi bud -

Where do you want to fit the anchor? I thought about the Y anchor myself, but in the end I decided against it as I wanted to fit the anchor inside an internal garage. I didn't want to risk damaging the DPM underneath the concrete base and the Y anchor looks like it would go down quite some way!

Almax sell appropriate locks for those - the SS65 (or something like that) being the flagship, although I got the other one (forget the name) after they said there's not much in it - just one has some test rating on it.

When I went to Donington this year, I used my mate's Almax chain (the same as shown). I rode from the Donington main entrance to the bike park with it around my neck and I haven't been able to walk properly since. It's a seriously mental bit of kit.

My housemate has one of those chains. It is massive. Nothing getting through it really aside from a grinder and an oxy torch.

I've got the slightly smaller version, which is still more than adequat.

If you get the series 4, I'm sure your limited to the SS65 lock as it's the only one big enough

I also got a free Kriega tailpack for mentioning PH when I ordered my Almax cool
