Spend much of Yesterday with Dave Higgs - as it's his creation.
That bike is the one on his web sit with the sound recordings of the spannies.
Lovely mix of old and modern imho.

I love this style of bike. I know nothing about them - but there is a group of about 5 of them that ride round where I live.
I think they are Z-750 and Z-1000's - but as I say I know nothing about them. Where can I find out more about these old Kawasakis?
As I have posted here many times I am useless with mechanics, but would love to learn with a project bike of some sort - and as I love the looks of these bikes, I would like to get my hands on a project bike like this.

I've got a couple of late 50's/early 60's Italian lightweight four-strokes and they've both got removable baffles on the standard silencers. Haven't dared take them out though- they're loud enough with them in!!
Whoa - a three cylinder 500cc 2-stroke? Is that as undiluted mentalism as I'm imagining???
The engine looks a bit suspect though - the middle cylinder must surely get a hell of a lot hotter than the outer two, it's air cooled right? Much less surface area to cool the middle cylinder.
And what's with the bird in the last pic? Just a random photoshop you had to share with us? Is she connected with the bike in any way or are you just doing a subliminal 'riding' thing?
