Ha ha!! I chucked all of mine out a couple of years ago.

I used to buy their videos religiously each year at the NEC bike show in the late 90's.

Mach 3 trip to South of France was the best one, just after the Hyabusa came out. Shakey and Rob Frost absolutely owned it.

Remember Frosty's crash on the VTR.
The sounds are just like when you crash your own bike !

About 5m 7secs on the film

Yes - a combination of shock, anger and working out what hurts the most first. His sounds sum it up perfectly.

I was looking for the one where Shakey was drifting a (then new) 'Busa out of some hairpins somewhere near Monte Carlo, but I've had no luck so far.

Some of the riding in town was a bit daft, but the wheelies out on the road were legendary.

Bloody hell.

I wish I could ride like that. Actually, fk that, I'm glad I *can't* ride like that - some of those corners with oncoming traffic were plain dangerous (bike over centre line, almost a collision with a car at one point). And drifting a 'Busa - he must need special leathers with space for his balls.

Love the wheelies though smile

BSB champion Shaky Byrne was riding the Busa and Supersport rider Rob Frost crashed the Firestorm.
Just goes to show the skill levels needed to ride like that.

I was speaking to the former ed of Fast Bikes mag and the vids director at the time,Colin Schiller(not sure of the spelling) he told me after they copped some flack on a ITV news programme with some chief inspector ranting about the riding that was the beginning of the end.

I also read in FB recently that Gary Mason had a serious accident on the road whilst riding for the mag, you can only get away with taking the piss, day in-day out, for so long.

Ive still got all my vids thou, havent watched them for a while but I may dust them down now after this thread.

I watched some of these on youtube last night.

Bloody hell.

No wonder so many motorcyclists die if that's how they choose to ride on the road.

Incredible.

Jesus Christ. Sounds like it hurt a fair amount when he came off.

Nutters, but talented.

I've got one or two of them. You tend to watch them with a mixture of fascination and horror.

Someone on here (and I thought it was someone who's already replied) claimed to be the rider who nearly got thrown off the ferry for wheelspinning along the vehicle deck.

I remember that they always took (and needed) spare bikes.
