i took the levers off 14 today & replaced the roadsalt with grease in the pivots, feel a bit smoother to use now. i also dropped the fuel pump out the tank & cleaned the pickup, was only about 50% blocked so it runs better now. oh & adjusted the chain, first time in 10k its needed it though so cant complain really.

I've decided I can't be arsed this weekend, so the fitting stuff can wait till another day/week/month

had a great ride today did about 80 miles on the little blue bike, had a whale of a time...the seat wasnt to bad and the bike behaves ALOT better on the road with the trailwings fitted again...it was a bit windy in places but nothing to worry about

I wasnt expecting to buy this weekend, but went and saw an 08 Versys in Green yesterday and bought it! Get to pick it up next weekend so its back on 2 wheels for me after 8 months off. Felt like an age but Im pleased to be getting another. Just need to work on confidence (following big off)

Spent most of yesterday with the bike on the dyno and trying loads of different pipes.

The recent tune I had gave the bike an extra 10% on the top but gave a lovely curve on it all round. It now makes the top power at about 500 revs less with the best improvement on the mid range.

I have spent most of today putting my newly sprayed fairings on. The guy who painted them must have been taught by Stevie Wonder. It has more runs than Jimmy Saville has attempted.

Fortunately, most of it will be covered by the sponsors stickers. You gets what you pay for I s'pose

Today I went to Boxhill and then over to Newlands corner, then into Guildford, then home. Had some absolutely great bits of riding and the roads were SO crisp and dry. My heart is still racing. Loved it.

Yup thats it! Its a love it or hate it look I think. I dont know if I posted at the time, but have made posts about it recently, particularly with issues surrounding my wrist.

The versys is what the ducati multistrada would have looked like if it's designers weren't on crack when they put pen to paper.
