hi guys,

i just got the yamaha solo seat for my 08 r6, and the rear black pad is a black kind of plastic foam which looks naff, so wanting to get that and the main seat retrimmed in black alcantara with some red sticking detail

I would recommend that you dont bother. Looks good, no doubt. But the first time your seat gets wet and you need to ride it in jeans, youll wish you could have just wiped it dry.

cheers guys, ill give them a ring,

i only wear leathers on the bike, and heard if get alcan wet just can take a while to dry out. i know will not be as robust as leather, or vinyl but i have seen a few bike r1, mv agusta'a with alcan seats and look great and im hoping are less slippy and give a bit more grip than the standard seat, also is a bit more of a personal touch
