Nice production, woeful race commentators.

Not so keen on Randy "Ducati" Mamola, but I will miss the expansive knowledge of Moody and Ryder.

I will also miss sitting down on a Friday evening to watch Practice.

I find that Cox and Parrish tend to miss 'action' and it can take them up to 2 laps to figure out what happened. I suppose all presenters have this problem but they seem to suffer more than most.

I used to switch over to BBC during the (annoying) adverts. I found myself screaming at the TV to try and update Parrish as he was obviously looking the other way when a rider blatantly crahsed out, etc. etc.

If you saw it, why would you want commentary on it? smile

I am not on the BBC payroll and I expect that Cox and Parrish get a tidy sum for their efforts. Thus, as a major stakeholder (I pay my TV license) I feel they should at least give me a call during the race for an update!

biggrin

I agree. however, I kinda liked Mamola.

I shall eternally miss the Moody/Mamola/Ryder team I'm sorry to say as IMHO nothing has come close-apart maybe, from Burnicle & Whitham. Not flawless I admit but just worked well with a few chuckles too.

I shall also miss the extended coverage of free practice & qualifying as well. Sad that it's gone this way.

Absolutely - Mamola and Neil Spalding were utterly excellent.

Tell you what, throughout the whole 2009 season, if anyone wants an update as to what's happening in the race, give me a call smile

"Hello, you have reached the Stoner Fan Club. On the last lap Stoner posted a 1 minute 36sec and is currently leading by 3.016secs. Someone may have fallen off elsewhere"

hehehe

As for Mamola, I just felt that he was obliged to give a shine on Ducati opinions as he was contracted to them to ride the dual-seat Desmo. Presenting/Reporting should be about unbiased opinions (I suppose). Saying that though, Moody and Ryder did seem a tad pro-Rossi on occasion and routed for the under dog (adopted British rider 'Guintoli' just because he had moved to Britain).

Whitham is good and very funny.

Suzy looks good in leather and is surprisingly knowledgeable.

Does anyone know what is going to happen with the Eurosport team for 09? I assume they are out of work then?

And no Neil Spalding for the in depth technical stuff, the Eurosport team were fantastic for the sport, the BBC team isn't fit to shine their shoes ...

I like the BBC crew but Im also no keen on Mamola. Often his expert commentary is stating the bleedin obvious and I piss blood everytime he says the word "bobble" - which he seems to say alot.

I like Suzi though. Anyone else think she may have had "relations" with Nicky Hayden? There seems to be a bit of something between them thats beyond the professional and she DID go out and visit him on his ranch a couple of years back.

Well done Nicky. thumbup

Agree totally. If Eurosport had concentrated their abysmal adverts at the end of the races instead on taking up a couple of laps with every batch, I'd never have bothered watching the Beeb, as their "team" is so crap.

I suspect I may have a few more free Sundays this year, rather than spending several hours watching the bikes.

Is WSB on the Beeb too?
