A 1 piece holds your guts in place.

Yeah, but then again, you probably think those shades (in your profile) look pretty goos as well.

I was under the impression that a one-piece is safer because the zip joining the jacket and trousers of a two piece could come apart in a crash.

But a two piece strikes me as being far, far more practical on a day-to-day basis.

I can’t say for sure but, if the zip holding the jacket of my BKS leathers to the trousers were to part during a crash then I suspect I would have much bigger things to worry about, like being dead for example! It’s a very ‘chunky’ zip that is totally hidden.

Have a two piece which as others have said is practical if you're on and off the bike during the day but always hankered after a one piece. Anyway the prices were so good at the NEC it was rude not to, but they are a nightmare to get on and off. This I discovered as I fell through the curtains of the make shift changing room at the show with it round my knees laying face down with my arse in the air much to the amusement of the passing crowds.
Big downside of the one piece (well mine anyway) is no internal or external pockets but it does keep your guts in until you unzip it and rediscover your middle aged spread.

You'll be pleased to know i bought a 2 piece, looks a bit funny when standing up but seems very comfortable when sitting in riding position.
Thanks for the advice, i ignored it all but got there in the end, lol biggrin

Thanks. I was thinking about a BKS two piece, so that's good to know.
