Won't take mines out until mid March - don't really understand why people would want to ride a bike with a hint of snow and ice. Just not worth the bother and
risk of going for a slide down the road IMO. 4 wheels for me until roads are salt/snow/ice free.

Mine went in the garage in November straight after it's service & new tyres. It's been on the Optimate and hasn't budged an inch.

It'll be out again in April a couple of weeks before our first European tour end April/strt May smile

Mine doesnt go away! I avoid the snow but still seem to have done around 2600 miles since the beginning of December.

Great idea smile but I don't think my other half would be too keen on two bikes frown

Is the DRZ road legal (couldn't see any front indicators?)

This week. Dragged it out and got an MOT done. Bit chilly for my liking though.

Having only being fully licenced for about 11 months I can't believe how much skill I've lost with 3 of those not riding. The smooth control is still there but the confidence in pushing on on wet roads isn't. Practice, pratice, practice I think.

Excellent stuff, having a second bike like that has got to be the way forward - not your P&J but also stops you from going rusty over winter - winner smile

tbh I am toying with sticking some indicators on it as I mainly use it on the road since most my local green lanes were closed 2 years ago

you are right, my fireblade is mint as it doesnt get used once the roads are gritted, it does get ridden in the wet though sometimes, but I am very good at cleaning it paperbag

two bikes and one car is the way forward cool

I never put mine away, but simply choose not to ride in snow and ice.

Even at this time of year there's some good riding weather!

Nowt to be embarrassed about mate, I'm the same - a compulsive cleaner. Most people comment that I have only just bought the bike and are amazed when I tell them that's it 5 years old smile

I like looking after my toys.
