Gave up on biking, got my first [company] car. Crap photo, but hey…
Am I the only one that doesn't have a clue what make/model it is? It looks very sporty for a company car.Octavia vrs

Out for a ride today this was filling up beside me, and mint looking Honda, and the owner 'taking it out for some scratching'

Following lunch with Pete yesterday and a conversation about projects, I got home with a mission planted firmly in my head.
After an awful lot of organising, moving and puffing, I found this dusty old thing in the corner of my garage.

My Laverda 750 that hasn't seen the light of day for 5 years, maybe more
Ah cool, yours is quite a late one isn't it? What're you planning - getting it back to original or have you a scheme in mind? The place I went on Friday to get the stainless bolts had three Laverdas in, that he was working on. Two Jotas and an RGS (I think). That era of Laverda are bloody massive! Beautiful things though, and sound ace
Just getting her cleaned off and running. Doesn¡¦t need anything major though, just a damned good clean. I shall strip as many parts off as I can to give them a thorough going over. But it won¡¦t be an OCD type Pete clean ƒº
It¡¦s a 1999 Formula S, built at the later Zane factory. As for the Jota, I would give my right bollick for one of them

Nice one Tony! I'm sure just wheeling it out of the garage has probably got the enthusiasm going for this project! After an awful lot of organising, moving and puffing, I found this dusty old thing in the corner of my garage.
That'll look fantastic when done.
Christ! I feel like I've been asleep for the past 24 hrs- there's some interesting stuff & comments been posted on here just since yesterday evening.
Simon- the aviation centre at East Kirby is only about 12 miles away but sadly have to be at the shop all day. Thanks for mentioning I'd have loved to pop over. We went with Lincolnshire BIke Nights a couple of years ago for the Lancaster engine run up-fabulous- & some really nice bikes there (once you ignore all the cruiser Harley brigade )
Smack- that early Honda looked lovely apart from the Ace bars
Scunnylad- glad you use that Yamaha- it's too nice to keep all to yourself.
Fleegle- FIVE YEARS ! FFS man get it cleaned up & used-them bikes above are putting you to shame & you wouldn't deserve a Jota until you prove you're fit & proper to own it.
Timmy- Octavia VRS it may be- but still a Skoda -they look good in that blue & drive well apparently.

I know Chris, I know. Shame on me…..One of the biggest problems I’ve had over that period is a lack of time. Keeping those pesky 250’s race ready was a weekend job EVERY weekend. Also, it was tucked right in the corner underneath all sorts of crap which is, I now realise, just wrong!
I’m not sure where to start as it’s so filthy.
In getting to the Laverda, I also had to pull out a very dusty NC30.
Mitzy really should look after them better
