Then he got married and rode off with his new wife on the back, her dress billowing out of her textiles slightly. The wedding ribbons on the back of the bike blew off when he overtook everyone on the way to the reception… Fantastic and congrats to him!

A day off today, so I've actually bene out on the bike for a trundle. First stop (actually second, the butty van was the first) was to pick this up, bought from the bay of thieves: Saved about £60 on new, and it's practically new. I just need to complete a degree in electronic engineering to work out how to fit it... Second collection of the day was this rather fetching garment (size medium... ish): I'm a member of a local "Blood bikes" group (think "SERV") which is due to go live any day now. The charity has acquired a couple of bikes and things are moving on.

Actually having laid out all the bits for the Starcom (I even say it in my head in a comedy American movie voice-over voice... StarrrrCommmmm), it's not *that* complicated... The only real problem is finding a "fused supply from ignition or lighting circuit". I don't even know what those words mean. I presume I need to splice one of the power wires into one of the lighting wires, so the unit only powers up when the lights are on (ie the bike's running).

Whoever put the intercom on my Pan before I got it used the feed to the rear brakelight switch, but then mine is old enough to be able to turn the lights off.

Daft question, but how do I know which is the right wire? There's space under the seat, so I guess I need to find one of the wires to the tail light. How do I know which wire when I find them is negative and which is positive? Will I need to try and find the actual wiring diagram and will that have the colour codes for the wires on it? I think I may need a grown up.

Have you got a test light? You can rig one up easily enough If you havent.
Its best making your own supply From the fuse box as you wont be over loading any existing circuitry. You could run a relay to a switched live and have the power hooked up straight From the battery. I'll draw you a stick diagram tomorrow.
Ive been looking at something like this, can you link up with oggetto riders with different system?

Ive been looking at something like this, can you link up with oggetto riders with different system? None of that ^^^^^^^^ Is even English!! Actually having reread it and sounded the words out (while pointing at each word on the screen with my fat finger), I think I understand what you're saying (but also that it would be beyond my skillz). The Starcom comes in a load of different options - Starcom1, Starcom1 Advacne (mine) and Starcom digital. The website is frankly pants, but the systems are all expandable, and have various features. The main thing is the control box, about the size of a fag packet. This is wired into the bike's electricity, then you plug the headset it. You can then add extra headsets (rider to pillion), phone, music, sat nav and also radios for bike to bike. To link to different systems (autocom) or whatever I would guess would only require all parties to have the same radio or the same frequency.

Honestly, If a tard like me can grasp it, you'll have no trouble I may have a relay wiring loom thing you can have gratis. Ive eventuali been good and put proper connectors on for the battery terminals instead of wrapping the wires around the screws Sorry about the bad engrish- predictive text nightmare!

Have a look at your right footrest, attached to that will be a brake master cylinder and a brake light switch, it should be obvious which is which. The wires to the brake light switch are what you are looking for, one will be a live and one will be an earth, you need to tap into the live feed to power your box, you can also tap into the earth for your box or just use an earth near where you are putting the box. I've tried to keep it simple

after a great ride with a mate of mine on sunday, here are a couple of pics of the old girls. fantastic ride from exeter to minehead then off to lynton and lynmouth, and back via south moulton. i passed my das at the end of march, and the 6r is my first bike. having commuted daily since i've passed, i've racked up about 1700 miles so far, but that ride was the most i've done in one hit with regards to a twisty ride out, and i'm still aching today! great weather, awesome roads, and fab views too.
