A picture a day....biker banter

In this case I have extensively used third party specialists and NOS parts where available. The completed bike will be worth quite a bit so I don't mind investing a few quid. Third party work includes chroming, resprayed bodywork, blasting and powder coating, rebuilding wheels with new spokes and rims, rebuilt crank (needs a 50 ton press), restored clocks and switches......
All in it will have cost me 10 grand by the time it's finished.
Clearly this will not make me money but that's not why I'm doing it. Hopefully it will be something that I can take pride in, enjoy riding (it will be used, it's not going to be a show bike), and it should be near as damn it, a good as new bike.
Respect to people who can do all of this with a couple of rattle cans and a lot of skill but I'm afraid I'm not one of them.

That's a thing of beauty!
I've always loved the detailing on Bimotas, are you getting another one the same?
Being built as we speak according to the Factory, asked for a few things to be little different this time round but being Italian really never know what it will be like until it turns up I've always loved the detailing on Bimotas, are you getting another one the same?

Congrats,i remember it like yesterday straight home to jump on my CBR400 nc23 ahhhh
Thanks! Haha, certainly memorable! My test was late because Princess Anne landed in a helicopter in the car park at Kassam Stadium in Oxford where the test was due to start. Then we were about to commence as she was leaving, so we waited, as the examiner wanted to see the helicopter take off... it was right in front of us!Ah, awesome! I've looked at CBR400's, would be a nice step up from my CBR125, before my dream bike, a red and black CBR600RR R5, just like my CBR125, but a real CBR! ZXR400 seems more roomy though, and since i'm six foot, it's fairly important!

Well done, now you have the pleasure of searching for your perfect bike.
Thanks! Yeah, rather excited. Shame I need (/ought hehe) to get rid of my CBR125 first, but all good things come to those who wait, or something like that Gassing Station | Biker Banter | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
