I'm with you there, beer certainly gets through my kidneys faster than wine

You can't watch the Telly on the Radio & Chicken doesn't taste good when cooked in Beer.
Well you can tune a radio to the TV broadcast frequencies and train your brain to convert the audio into a visual picture - all you need is synaesthesia and a high-bandwidth set of headphones.

As to chicken not tasting good when cooked in beer, that's because chicken is cheap meat. Steak tastes great cooked in Ale, and Steak is superior to Chicken.

So whilst the radio comparison is perhaps a bit dodgy, I'm going to claim that Beer is as good as Wine, if not better.

In fact I'll go further than that - Wine is fecking SLOW and Beer is a LOT faster, even if there's less alcohol in it. If you put 140% alcohol in your beer then it'd accelerate faster than the Saturn V rockets. So there.
Saturn V Beer powered Rcketsbeerdrink

Is Guiness faster than beer?
Izzat a trick question??? I thought Guinness *was* beer.

Damn, all this talk of beer is making me thirsty. I ought to get out on my bike before a pint of cold beer accidentally pours itself into the glass sitting in front of me.... bye all, off on my slow bike...

stout is beer too though, is'nit chap? Bit like those bouncing aeroplane dog marshmallows earlier, it's all about set theory. Guinness is a subset of stouts, which in turn are a subset of beers. Beer is a big set, and for that I'm happy. Some think the reason God made water was so people could turn it into beer. Definitely a better use for the stuff than dribbling out of the sky and making bikers have to slow down when going round corners frown

Talking of slow bikes, I just bumped into a chap with what he called a 'Superbyke RMR200' - looked a bit like a KTM supermoto on first glance but it apparently cost £1800 brand new - yup it's a Chinese bike, but allegedly contract built in China to specifications designed by a Bristol bike shop (or bike importer, not sure). Had nice front forks and apparently the 200cc aircooled single is a Suzuki design and can be maintained with Suzuki parts.

For the price it looked like damn good fun... has anyone here come across these things? And I don't feel like I'm being *too* evil and taking the thread off-topic, because the top speed of this 'supermoto' is 75 mph according to the bloke, which I could beat in my Mum's old 1.0 Mini Metro by nailing it down Telegraph Hill on the A38 (or is it the A380? the road splits there IIRC) in Devon.

Anyway time for a ride on my own, girlfriend gone for a lie down (ummm that *could* be phrased slightly better...) biggrin Will update this thread with a 'nod' count on my return... since I've owned the baby Ninja I haven't had ONE nod from an oncoming biker, but having said that, I haven't seen many bikers on my little commute other than a few scooterists, all of which looked shocked when getting a nod from a bloke on a baby sportsbike wearing unexpected clothes (pinstripe tailored suit and Church's shoes) nuts And before I get the 'protective clothing' lecture, I'm wearing Alpinestars Supertech R boots, sooper dooper 'ultra high molecular weight polyethylene' blend denim jeans, my favourite retro Dainese leather jacket and my Alpinestars gloves, because I'm going for a hoon and not half a mile at pushbike pace to the station. Unlike that Stigmundfreud chap with his 24/7 CCTV surveillance of himself and his surroundings though, I sadly won't be able to post up my legendary taste in motorcycling apparel and the suave cut of my jib as I swoosh round my twisty road route...

silly

Feck this, too much talking shoite and not enough *doing* - I'll grab the last of the light before it starts raining. Wonder if anyone else is out there biggrin

ETA: 60 miles later, 15 bikes, 8 nods. Great cornering fun - dump it in 6th and don't slow down for any of the bends smile

Was the rider OK? Did you do the bike much damage?

paperbag

It's late-night-early-morning of the day you wrote this (i.e. I still think it's Friday night but it's Saturday morning) and assuming you meant you saw the 250 rider twice on Friday, it sure as hell wasn't me, since I didn't ride it on Friday - I was ill all morning and missed a glorious day for it. If the weather is as good when the sun comes up today and I'm not feeling as lousy then I'll be going out for a LONG hoon, the girlfriend is on the other side of the country at a funeral so I've got the day to myself.

I live in NW Kent. And my bike is black. And it's still chained up in front of my house (just checked!!!!) so nope, not me I'm afraid. But I'll probably be buzzing around the twisty A and B roads of Kent and Surrey tomorrow smile

I agree the paint job is foul, and I wouldn't want to be seen dead on it... but, but.... a turbo'd 'Busa with extended swingarm must be fairly nippy away from the lights.. scratchchin

And I can't believe this thread is still going! Although I'm not helping matters by adding to it!! biggrin
