I have just bought a Go Pro and I know that there are a few users here, what software do you use to edit the files? I am just looking for something that can edit out a couple of short clips from the rather large MPEG files.
TIA
Mark

Just tried again and it says no to an MP4.
I am on XP and my Movie Maker is ver 5.1 - do I need a newer one or am I doing something wrong?

I use Windows movie maker - the one in XP is painful to use, but the Windows 7 one is really quick and flexible. Only real things you can't do are picture in picture and change the speed (slow motions/speed up).

Ok, are you all using the HD version and saving MP4 files from your GoPro?

HD saves as MP4 and a little Googling has shown that Movie Maker will not play!
But thanks anyway

But thanks anyway If you are running Vista or Windows 7, download Windows Live Movie maker from Microsoft for free. It support MP4.

Thanks Pete but XP Pro......
Apparently Quicktime works with MP4 so I might have to go that route

Fats25 said: 3doorPete said: You bringing the Go-Pro on Sunday? Naah - I can barely keep myself in functioning order on the lanes - let alone worry about sorting a camera too. I also have an intermittently sticking open throttle (bar grip problem) and am at work now, so can't fit the new one in time. That'll be focussing me too! @ Obscene - I find the 7 version loads quicker to edit as the pruning tool is rapid and easy. Once you've finished it also takes literally 10x less time to finalise the video. They didn't make it much better on functions, but editing now takes minutes rather than hours.
