They ran the Electric bikes at our last meeting at Brands. I think they are called TTX’s??

They actually look okay, but imagine watching a race with 20 bikes stood at Druids. The only thing I could hear was the Marshalls taking the piss.
Brands only ever goes that quiet when there has been a stoppage due to a bad accident.

It’s not the way forward.

Until the weight and power has improved so that they can accommodate an amp and a speaker. That way lies a full grid of Honda 6s and MV3s hehe

Au contraire. By far the biggest barrier to motorsports venues these days are noise regulations, so electric bikes might be the biggest step forward club motorsports and track days will ever make.

Ha ha, there is a bit of that too of course. But in theory, you could have a track wherever you wanted without having to upset anyone. City centre circuits, races in areas of outstanding natural beauty and even Supercross races in shopping centres... it opens up lots of interesting new prospects.

6 fooking laps!?

rolleyes

So this bike is only any good if you alter the Formula of a meet/series in it's favour.

In a proper race meet he would DNF every time.

It sounds very 'Sci-Fi' but ultimately it's not for me. Petrol engines sound and smell better than anything with an electric motor.
