HELP QUICK QUESTION - When Guy goes to borrow his ex bike back for the swing arm as he's loading it into the back of the van there's a Range Rover parked behind outside the house, and next to it a black low sports car, don't suppose anyone can tell me what make/model it was can they? I thought it looked Ford GT ish, but probably miles off. Only glimpsed it.
Yep was a Ford GT, the modern take on the GT40snotrag said:
Istr Guy actually owns an Aston DB9 doesn't he?
He's got a Vantage. Good article in Evo magazine about him and his Aston, seems to really like his cars.http://www.evo.co.uk/features/features/260077/guy_...
We went and watched it last night. I knew how bad the Conor crash was, but never realised how serious the Guy crash was until I saw in the film, or even knew about hutchinsons crash.
Brilliant film, me and Northern Chimp are going to get over there in 2012. Definitely. I have never been before yet I had goosebumps throughout watching it.

Yep was a Ford GT, the modern take on the GT40By then. Awesome film by the way. Just watched it in a packed cinema. Everyone laughing at guys antics!
I saw this a few days ago and was blown away, not only by the racing footage, but by the fact that here, at last, in film form, was a number of things I often find it hard, even impossible, to explain to non-petrolheads about the allure of doing something that to them seems pointlessly dangerous in their mollycoddled world.
Also, Guy Martin came across as a proper old-school motorsport hero in the mould of Barry Sheene ("scared of it wasn't he? Lager-shandy-drinking Southern poofter" ), James Hunt and Tony Pond. Total dedication to the cause, didn't take himself too seriously, genuinely emotionally affected by what he did, real mechanical knowledge and all in all the exact opposite of Lewis 'Mr. Vodafone/Santander/Mercedes/Johnny Walker/Your Name HERE' Hamilton, who is without doubt one of the all-time great F1 drivers but comes across like a walking PR department whenever a microphone is shoved in his face.
Can't imagine him threatening to 'thrash the st' out of a pernickety official who caught him marginally speeding in the pitlane, or announcing to the world that he's 'off for a wk' somehow. Instead, he'd like to thank his sponsors, his family, God...

Yep, one of the first private cars on the roadhttp://www.evo.co.uk/features/features/260077/guy_...
Saw the film last night
Very good, perfectly captured him, the TT and the lifestyle
he really is like that aaaallllll the time
Saw this in Chichester after spending hours looking for a showing around West Sussex that wasn't mid-afternoon. I took SS7 Jnr, not expecting to be squirming in my seat at a pretty random wking conversation. Anyway, I suspect he no longer wants to be a road racer, in spite of the chaps wandering around the paddock with bits missing seeming quite cheerful really.
SS7
PS Doesn't Wolverine have a funny accent in this one?

I went for a 2nd viewing of TT3D with the Mrs last night as it was showing in the local flicks, I didn't know until 30mins before the film was due to start so bit of a mad scrabble to get there
well worth watching twice imho
both of us are still unconvinced with the whole 3D "gimmick"
