Brilliant stuff. If you see a green Daytona 675 that's me, not sure if we'll get the non biker on the back of that or an R1 for tomorrow so it may be the cage.
So you are trying to convert a mate into biking by taking him on the back of 2 of the most pillion unfriendly bikes you can find on the market and show him a movie full of nutters kissing brick walls at >150mph?

Way to go thumbup

hehe I'll be meeting my brother there in the car, having had my tax disc pinched again in the last couple of weeks, I'm not keen on walking outside to find the whole bike missing.

You tried these:-

http://www.secur-i-disc.co.uk/motorcycle.html

I had 3 tax discs nicked, and since using these (the bolt on ones), I have not had one taken.

Nice one, will grab one of those. First time they unbolted the surround and walked off with it, this time they've just snapped it clean off the metal hanger.

why not just keep it in your wallet? or taped to the underside of the seat?

I did keep my last one in my wallet, but the law states that it has to be on display and neither of those places is really valid. It's one of those pointless things now really as ANPR will determine if the vehicle is taxed or not.

No lawman who has looked over my bike has worried about the fact thats it at home in a draw. They know they get nicked and dont actually need it to see if you have it.

Have never run with one on display.

Kind of pointless me replacing it until it expires then really. I'll save the £7.

Keep the original on you and display a quality colour photocopy in the holder on the bike. ?

It's a valid date and tax on the vehicle written on the disc matching the bike that matters. Besides they can check the number plate if they need to.

My understanding is you are better off having no tax displayed, that displaying a "false" document. That is my understanding anyway - happy to be corrected.

Not happened to me, but a guy I used to work with got fined twice for not displaying tax (he had it displayed, and it was stolen twice!).

Just got back too. Really enjoyed it. The sensation of speed in the opening sequence was quite something. And Guy is a legend!

Only small criticism I have is that the 3D aspect didn't seem to add much. I'm guessing real life documentary footage does not lend itself as well as studio film/animation stuff. First 3D film I've seen but IMHO it would have been just as good without.
