saw this for sale in barns near hammersmith for ages then the company disappeared about 2 years back

You can all sit comfortably behind your internet posts, but this was a Viper saved by one mans skill and passion to rebuild when it was stolen and burnt. I personally wanted to buy this car when it was unfortunately crying out for a labour of love to come its way, but I couldn't afford it at the time. I know what it took to rebuild it, also know what the Aus RHD quality conversion company wanted for OE parts, and if you saw the quality of leather and stitching in it, any numpty could appreciate that, but, it's just maybe not to taste of modern Viper style! But credit where its due. I do believe buyers should be aware of the history of the car, but be sensitive in the manor of how you 'slag' it off!

It came from Australia as a new yellow RT after being converted to right hand drive by viperformance for the UK Chrysler MD, the viper got stolen within a few months by joyriders who set fire to it.....which made quite a mess
A chap called John who owns a restoration garage got hold of it after the insurance auction, converted it to a GTS and rebuilt it to what you see now. Can't imagine the labour hours and money that would of got sunk into it.
the advert doesn't tell the fully story, for me it no where near worth the asking price, but probably cost a lot more to get it back on the road. I still have some pre repair pics, which shows the extent of the fire damage

Yes you have a good point, but its a kit car in side, yes it might be a very good one, I understand ther is no RHD dash but the seats, I was very interested some 7-8 years ago the inside put me of not the historyFrom memory it was cat C; (BTW, cat B is non repairable, salvage A isn't a 'cat'). Forward of the front bulkhead was undamaged. Heat damage to the upper rear bulkhead was IMMOP questionable. As stated, the current high asking price doesn't reflect the dosh put into this car, let alone the labour, not that its possibly worth that now! Hmm, sitting outside of a winter isn't favourable, however my GTS did that in its early years with me as I didn't have a garage back then. Dry as a bone, even have pics somewhere of under a pile of snow, the double bubble roof still apparent under virgin white crystalline ice covering
