Fog Light

Recent sunshine has led to the garage door being opened for the first time in months which means its the first time in months I've seen the back of my car. On looking I just realised how ugly the tack on fog light is. I recall Barrys electrician talking about integrating them into the cluster and obviously Paul added the pace lights into the rear lights as well. Has anyone done this with the Fog light - was it hard to do?

I put the fog light on the ACR into the inner brake light, not sure how the cluster differs on the soft top though.

I just disconnected (cut) the existing wiring and wired it into the fog circuit I ran, One thing of note is for IVA there has to be a 10cm separation for fog to brake light which is why I also disconnected the centre of the three brake lights as well, but doubt an MOT tester will care.

Good question Mark, I need to do the same thing but until you mentioned it I hadn't given it a thought.

you can try and find the markings on the cluster lenses for what they are certified for, In the IVA as soon as the chap saw the markings it was a tick in the box, no more questions. There will probably be a series of letters as there are multiple functions in the lens

On the GTS I used one of the reversing lights as the fog and ran a separate wire to a switch
So you see a clear lense but behind it a red bulb
