Ok man I get that you have those category's but the values suffer right?....I mean who wants a junked car unless its cheap or sum dude gets suckered into stumping over the odds for trash!?

Stateside we have lemon laws and details about the vehicle history for a few dollars.....its detailed down to warranty and service.....you brits have a lot to learn and I guess that's how you guys don't check history stateside and get stuck with a wiped clean car!?.....good for the UK dealer wise guys eh?

I aint saying its perfect but its a start and some fixes look good on the surface but peak underneath....cracks, deformation....sub surface carbonfibre stress is undetectable!?....hell what do I know I'm just some yank pretty boy!?
You do make some very valid points smile Believe it or not the ACR's price reflected the Cat status wink

Thanks for that smile

As you know, the price of replacing those parts in 2009 would have been stupid expensive, especially if you went direct to Dodge. As cars become a little older the price of parts and the availability of parts become much cheaper to pick up.
"Example" a rear end shunt putting a car in the salvage yard means most likely the front is fine, so unbolting wing parts from one car to bolt them onto another which has front end damage makes sense. Chassis damage (if any) can be checked with alignment specs by a good bodyshop repairer. So there's no issue as long as its all declared smile

Picking up a perfectly good wing or front bumper becomes easier when a few more cars find their way to a Salvage yard,

I don't have any problem buying a Salvage car (As long as its stated on the log book) and there is evidence that repairs are done correctly, but someone telling someone the car has never been in a collision or fire and selling as such needs to be shot down in flames wink

Amen brother!......I guess making one car out of two is called 'cut and shut' here as in the states!?.....

I'm not dissing anyone for rolling on wheels higher than their pay grade.....but those GD shonky dealer MF's need taking down to china town....ya hear me!

I guess with the passing of time the only vipers not trashed will be the museum pieces and that's a GD shame.....peace out brotherman!

"Cut and shut" here means when two different chassis or body's have been welded together, chassis numbers hidden etc
Normally a Term used for bad or rouge bodyshops trying to sell a car as never been in an accident!

Simply unbolting salvage parts from one salvage car and repairing another Cat D salvage car would not warrant that term wink

Sorry for butting in SSSAMMM...

I nearly bought the ACR from the seller but just couldn't part with mine.. The damage wasn't that bad just price of parts was high.. ACR aero package was 10k plus in 09 then you got bumper wing and wishbone + paint and labour..

This thread has gone way off the original topic about manuals on pdf!!!!!

Can Mr Muscles shed any light on the 2006 SRT10 that was for sale at various locations, first with silver stripes, then white. It looked a nice car but had dubious history stateside.

info as follows

VIN – IB3JZ69Z06V101065
Total loss California August 2009
Shipped to the UK April 2010

also sorry to SSSAMMM for butting in
