Took the viper for a spin this evening and without driving a mile a fantastic looking GT40 pulls out in front of me so naturally I flag him down and he's kind enough to show me the car as well as have a gander at mine! Best part is he lives less than a mile from me!

Mark you've lost me! I just know it was a GT40 lol. The guy was really down to earth and happy to show us. He was knowledgeable about the car and just like us, had to keep It plugged in!

Well, there was the MK1, MKII, MKIII and a few others, then there were the CAV GT40s another kit was the GTD 40 biggrin
One of the Drivers was Dan Gurney, now he was a tall chap so they put a bubble in the roof to allow for his helmet smile (Racing Helmet) biggrin It was known as the Gurney Bubble smile

Have a read of the Wiki
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_GT40

then there's this lot

the CAV model
http://www.cav-america.com/Models.html

So as you can see there are a lot of variations!
