As I'm not using the car over winter it's going to sit in the garage and likely the battery will be flat before you know it. Anyone using a trickle charger and any links to a decent one online? Never used one before so not really sure which to go for.

Youll only get about x3 weeks with the alarm armed before the battery go's flat, most here will have a trickle charger on their viper all year round.

There's a few decent one's to look for personally I've had a few Optimate's over the years, they do a great job, got x2 of them plugged in right now.

Optimate do a lead that plugs into the cigarette lighter to charge the battery, works well on a GTS

I use and optimate 4 which is superb. Health checks the battery, try's to recover some battery's and trickle charges in a way that maintains the battery very well.

I've been using the halfords maintenance charger for years, best thing though it to wire the car up so you can easily plug in as soon as you put it away rather than think about it after you haven't used the car for a week or so and then have to faf with the bonnet and crock clips etc.

I've just ordered a charger from machine mart with different connections inc croc clips. Optimate I've been using has bit the dust! £49!
