The cars leave Bowling Green speced for the European market.

I can confirm from the UK dealer, that the vehicle leaves the USA ready for Euro market.

Don't know why the question was asked? But, if its like the C6, presumably you have to differentiate between a UK spec C7 and a Euro mainland spec C7? The only difference being a UK spec car has left dipping headlights on it? Or are the lights on a UK order/spec car the same as a Euro mainland spec car?

There is no official way to make the US nav system work in the EU. For the C6 it was easy, swap the DVD and you are done, C7 not possible.

Has anyone done a direct comparison on a new C7 ~ UK spec/vs exact USA spec+ with all changes/duties/charges required for personal import. Can personal import C7 actually be serviced 100% using non-franchised dealers?

My C7 has been fully converted for UK, including fully functional built-in European satnav.

There are few differences between USA and Euro Vettes these days. Only trivia like rear fog lamp and side indicator repeaters need to be added for IVA. Headlamp washers are standard on Euro Vettes but aren't needed on converted USA cars. Headlamps themselves don't need conversion.

Euro and UK Vettes are built at the factory. IIRC the VIN number includes a market identifier.

All come from the same line at BG KY......

Did the tour a few months back and every now and again an ''export" car comes past you on the line.

There is nothing mystical or magical about routine servicing on any Vette.

Re the headlamp thing.

Can anyone tell me if Euro cars need the headlamps changing for UK approval? Or are they all flat-beams? Conversely, would a UK car need to have the headlamps changed to be sold into Europe or are they flat-beamed?

Same size...just have indicators built in. I watched my car get built at BG last year and saw the euro cars coming off the line too.

If they have indicators built in does that satisfy the side repeater requirement.
I think it has to be able to be seen from 5 degrees from the rear side of the car if I remember rightly.

The Euro spec Z06 for example:

Mirrors are bigger
Headlight Washers
Rear lights are red

No idea what else changes, but rear fog light, GPS etc. would need to changed / added

Yes it does satisfy the regulations.
