I mean really, it it that friggin hard to look up the correct details of a car and advertise it correctly.

There are some very rare cars currently in the PH classifides!

We have this one
http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/d...
Yes that's right a GTS RT coupe 2006 Now this is a bloody rare car, must be a 1 of 1 rolleyes
Seriously everyone should club together and buy this rare car, just think we could make a fortune at Scotchdale or Coys auctions! banghead

Then it just gets better! Look at this one
A 1994 SRT10! I kid you not!
http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/d...
Wow this car must be the first one with the 8.3ltr engine rolleyes 500 bhp!!!!! WOW eek

Why is it that a Dealer can be bothered to pay up and advertise complete Bollo-cks?

Clearly they have no frigging idea what the car is!
Bunch of munts comes to mind.........Buyer be very, very aware!

When I bought my car, it was described by the dealer as a rare 'blue mamba' edition. Total nonsense of course, but there's no point in saying anything as it was irrellevant. It was only later I stumbled across this article, which must be where they got the (still incorrect) info.

http://www.topspeed.com/cars/dodge/2006-dodge-vipe...

"For 2006, Viper SRT10 Convertible is available in Viper Red and Viper Black. Later in the year, a special “Blue Mamba” edition will be available with a special interior package that includes black leather upholstery with contrasting stitching and shift knob accents."

To be fair all the official Chrysler cars are registered with the DVLA as "GTS RT10" no matter which they were, so they are probably only going off the log book.

on the flip side, and certainly recently and since at least 2010, imports are being registered as Dodge (USA) with no model info what so ever. and that is despite all the detailed model information being supplied to the DVLA on the application.

Then throw in many of these advert systems are pigeon holed into selecting vehicles from a pre-defined list which also fills in many of the vehicle particulars, so what do you do when you only have a limited selection of available models to chose from and what you have isn't one of them, Try finding the Gen 4 8.4L engine on any UK insurance list, even finding it using sites for US parts stores its often not there! you have to select the 8.3 and hope for the best.

How about this:

"Up for a chalange ? we have a very rare acr viper coming in call us for more info, Full dealership history, AFTER MARKET BELANGER HEADERS, , AFTER MARKET PERFORMANCE RACE COMPUTER, , RIGHT FRONT DAMAGE, , RIGHT REAR DAMAGE, , DOES NOT APPEAR TO HAVE CHASSIS DAMAGE, , RUNS AND DRIVES, , VERY CLEAN, £55,000"

At least get someone to write the ad who has a basic grasp of grammar and spelling! "Does not APPEAR to have chassis damage" and £55k? Hmmm...

Agreed, but to be fair they are at least being up front about the damage rather than bodging it and selling it as straight smile
