I would suggest checking if there are going to be noise tests. A number of us were lucky to run at the airfield last year and of course andrew was unable to run.

On a plus note- after getting back from a 4 day trip in France on Sunday I can confirm that their roads are still fantastic, smooth and empty and do not appear to have self destructed due to a bit of snow! Petrol (98) was 1.14 to 1.24 euro so with the crap exchange rate, about the same as here.

No admission checks at the Ring or noise checks carried out.

Will check if the F1 is the same.

Email received last night from Werner :-

Hello Paul,
there is definitely no noise limit on the F1 Circuit nor on the Nordschleife. We expect on the Ring about 25000 visitors television and newspapers.
I booked 8 double rooms for you (€ 89,-- incl. breakfast for each double room. Everybody pays the room when he leaves.)
The fee for the whole event is € 145,-- per person (including all insurances, public and other fees, lunch, dinners, ship etc.)

If you have changed your mind about going then could you please let me know, or if you would like to join us let me know as well.

I will need your 145 Euros per person payable to PC Care Ltd by the 31st of March and I will pick up the bill for the charges etc.

I must say that me a Big Viper were talking about this but they are not just there to see us, and there is no pressure to drive either circuit either flat out or to impress, while all the vehicles in our convoy will be interesting some of them will be irreplaceable.

So we are a long way from home and we can drive quick but not daft.
