OUR HORNEY MOTOR!!
Discussion
Well we have the car back and the finish of the install is fantastic with a few built in safety devices that were not with the kit(system shuts down if incorrect bottle pressures are sensed)the only thing that can,t be allowed for is a blocked fuel jet,but then nothings fool proof.I must say looking at the car i,m wondering what kind of monster has been created,it looks like something from a mad professors lab in the boot of the car!!!!Now the bit you all want to know .....THE POWER...We set up the Performance Meter with all the correct data and i know its not spot on the last readings it gave for the car were very close to the times at Elvington, the conditions were very poor and we still had a almost illegal tyres still on the car.Gentle on the throttle through 1st into second still without hitting W.O.T then into 3rd gear and foot to the floor!Ooh My Goodness...it WAS just like fast and furious, instantly into 4th 1/4 mile completed!Than Goodness as i never realy want to try that again on the road with naff tyres. It will light the tyres in 4th gear!It was a very very scary experience like nothing i,ve ever felt,a runway is the place to learn with this power me thinks. The times ........we were showning a 10.89 at 141mph for the 1/4 and the 1 attempt was more than enough for one day,as they say "POWER IS NOTHING WITHOUT CONTROL" we have a very steep learning curve ahead before we can jet up the large size.Mark,s (SNAKEBITE) Viper should be increadable if our is anything to go by.Shall not be running it again untill were booked onto a runway track day. This all begs the question is our Viper the first to run NOS and is it the first 10 second Viper to be run in the U.K?Does anyone know different?Neil?

The records are update, no new times since Elvington last year have been submitted. I'm not aware of any UK member or have seen any other viper in the UK mags running NOS. If there was I'm sure one of us would have heard about it, so you may well be the first !

Spent the weekend and this morning emptying out a very large bottle of NOS on the queens highway and now we have got to grips with how best to use it the car has been booked back into "PowerEngineering" for a few more tweeks(larger jetting) as despite what i said before its now not fast enough!!!!Funny how you can never have enough of a good thing.....NEW STICKER for the back of the car(sorry Neil yet another sticker job!!!Ahhh)to read.."800 BHP+ IS NEVER ENOUGH"

Why not a sticker saying "never enough traction"?

Even better we like that!
It was Sarah that drove the NOS beast this morning while Tom checked that the pressures were optimum!
Was awesome the acceleration was like a rocket put a BIG grin on my face!!Want more power, love the adrenalin rush!!!
Call me Sherlock Holmes, but who who typed that post? You gave a complete 3rd person perspective - someone else driving the car, and someone else who was other than the two people mentioned typing the post (not S or T).

What was the result of the dyno test before NOS and will you be taking back for a test with NOS
Going back to be rejetted in a few weeks plus more NOS,(all gone!!!)so will try and get some readings then but at the moment we are going on the BTW figures plus the 560bhp we started with on top,but we are also running different jet sizes(larger LPG to give safer A/F Ratios) so maybe up slightly on TOM,s figures. The back of the car now read...."NEVER ENOUGH TRACTION",thanks Neil and z064life.Just one other thing ,running on Khumos and using NOS in 3/4 gears at 3000rpm, you can still feel the tyres trying to break away and spin!Fantastic....but still learning a lot about best settings and what does, doesn,t work.Happy to give advise if required to anyone interested, just call me.
