Interesting, parts bin demo?

Ohlins but sports brakes are an odd combination.

And those are 15' geos on the car, no mention in spec.

Strong money IMO.

Yea looks like retail and a bit , it's missing a few nice bits, and the black chassis makes it cheaper.

The satin black is really nice on a spartan Nomad. Factory have one in at mo with knobbly tyres, outer white writing and red painted calipers, not much else. Looked good!

Anyway, can't see the factory sale one sticking around for long, even at that price.

Well that's that topic done and dusted. smile

Will have virtually zero depreciation for quite a while yet, and then only taper off very gradually when Nomad v2 arrives (which'll be years away).

Having just sold my third Atom 3.5 I've had my eye on Nomad's. Reviews seem outstanding and looks like a lot of fun and somewhat more practical. Whilst there's a waiting list residuals should stay strong.

Time will tell I guess.....

I thought about buying the one posted about above, as did plenty of others, and it sold in a couple of days.

I do fancy one, but the waiting list means it would arrive just when I'm next due to move house.

I bought the one referenced above but had to move bloody quick as I didn't think it would hang around for long. Went to see it today and proper chuffed. Need to plan a collection date now.

Fantastic, can I ask if you already had one on order ? How did you hear about it ?

Hi Lighty, I recently sold my Atom 3.5 and the Nomad was a serious contender as replacement. A mate tagged me to the factory post on FB and I did some homework and did the deal next morning. It's retail price yes, but I jumped a 15-16 month wait and confident it'll lose very little.

Well done, mine comes in march after an 18 month wait, these things will be money in the bank for a while yet, on;y seen 3 for sale this year & all the others were over list.
It's a decent spec & you can always add , at least it has the clutch & cooler if you decide to add S/C.

Bet you can't wait?! I waited 18 months for one of my Atom's and it was painstaking. Not a day went past when I didn't think about it. Would like to add a SC to the Nomad now but not sure funds will allow? Can always upgrade at a later date after I've had some fun and become more acquainted with it.

Rear Alcons & SC then you'll be sorted.

Think it's a little over RRP, but the Ohlins were probably the tempter for many.

And be careful on the knobblies.

I came from a 245 / 310 Atom, on the right tyres and without that spare wheel it's just as fast as a 245 NA Atom, until it gets to a corner. smile

How crucial are rear Alcons?

I havent specced them on the rear, reason being the price was getting daft and I wanted to draw a line somewhere. Rear alcons also mean another £500 for a conventional handbrake.

+1, its a nigh on £2k upgrade. £1194 for the Alcons plus £714 for the handbrake. Do the rear brakes really work that hard?

Can you not have the Alcon without the handbrake?, also, the car sold states rear sport brakes but has a handbrake installed. Can you not also spec the other way around?

Never had anything but alcons on either this or previous Atom, not sure on quality of other options.

The basic caliper includes a built in handbrake. The Alcon is just a caliper, no handbrake facility so if you want a handbrake you have to buy a second handbrake caliper. You can buy just the Alcon upgrade but then the car cant be road registered.
