Wow, looks great! Is that a matt colour or just the light?

Did you reuse the original targa panel or make new..?

If the rear screen is perspex, I presume it won't take a demister element without discolouring? My car tends to mist up if left outside overnight.
Not sure if it would discolour Rick, i'd be more concerned with how hot the elements would get on a thermoplastic screen, it might melt into it.
I tried looking a few years ago to see if there was some kind of stick-on heating element available, I heard you could get them years ago as an accessory for classics, but I never found anything, and they were probably only suitable on glass screens anyhow.
Some ideas here from the good old days:

You guys are so young!

I've fitted loads of these in the early seventies wink
Ha ha! I fitted these in the late 60s but I will take the compliment. thumbup
Must be all that Oil of Ulay stuff then...
Blind me! Are you still walking unaided ? wink
Yes, son.

Very nice.

As asked, original hardtop?
I assume the rear part is removable?
How is it held in place?
Are you using perspex for the windows?
Is this designed to remove and fit in the boot if required?

It would be interesting to see your fixing method.

Are you using a similar method to Steve with his catches?

I wish!

Been busy working on some minor details to the 'B' pillar attachments so still don't have any new pics yet, but will do as soon as I'm happy with it. Its all coming together nicely though smile

I've been thinking about this and I think I've come up with an idea for demisting the rear screen, but it's something that could also be added to standard cars too regardless of whether a hardtop is fitted.

I'm trying to workout if it would be possible to utilise the drivers footwell blower/vent (which I NEVER even use on my car and had completely forgotten it existed) and somehow duct this warm air supply through a tube down the sill area, up the inside of the rear quarter panel, into the upper boot area below the rear screen, and then into some ducts mounted on the rear deck finisher panel (similar to those under the front windscreen) and directing air up to the rear screen.

Might be easier to just wire in a hairdryer biggrin

I have to say, that does sound rather a lot of effort, really.

If I had to lose a heater vent it would be those under the radio, personally - but bloody hard to get to....

Did wonder what a roofline with bulges either side like the Peugeot RCZ would look like - as the bulges might work quite well with the curvy wings & haunches...

Here's a quick walk-round video chaps, its gives a better idea of how the hardtop looks from more angles.
