busy days monday and today had a day in the machine shop finished the hood sticks mod to allow the roll bars to fit nicely, made some stainless cup washers for the door catches and some extended nuts to make fitting the hood rear section easy all in stainless, made a couple of new spacers for the rear hood bolts where they fit into the door pillars and today got the boot seal fitted, at last secured the purchase of some blue dash bulbs for the instruments what a relief i bought forty to make sure i have plenty of spares, the trimmers have made a really small piped section to fit along the bottom of the instrument panel and the upholstery just finishes it off nicely, carpets are being bound tomorrow plus got the closures around the roll bar mountings behind the seats made, plus lots of sundries like blanking the old seat belt mount holes and cleaning the cab ready for carpet, i have also fabricated two jigs for the roll bars so i can replicate them at some juncture.

just to answer the above question i not sure what you mean as the roof dosent come anywhere near the glass it has a moulding the sits on the lip created in steel which is riveted to the glass fibre windscreen surround the leading edge of said moulding just lips over the glass to create a seal ,the rear section of the seal that is split to take the steel lip is the piece the roof comes in contact with and if the screen surround roof rear section of roof are all fitted correctly and the correct items the glass dosent feature if it does something is very wrong.

just spent a fantastic two days working with my son on the final run in on the car, had trimmers right up to the last on friday night but all in all went well, we then could get the roll bars fitted then the hood rear section hood sticks and finally the targa, then built up the seats and fitted harnesses fitted and adjusted, and the whole car glazed and polished wheels fitted engine run up again to full temperature so far all good, took plenty of pictures plus some video which will be on youtube, unfortunately the weather was constant snow so no driving outside but managed two or three feet in the workshop.work interrupts next week a bit but mot soonest.

Basically the motor is a standard pre serp 4.0 ltr heads have been cleaned up valve guides reduced and bulleted, compression is i guess around 9.0 to 1 it has a slightly thicker composite gasket than the original, then blower by sc power with my own drive train, boost should work out to aroind 6psi,output will be sufficient, will know when got some miles on the car and get it on the rollers at emerald.

Thanks for your concerns firstly the rivets are 303 stainless and the holes are filled with a small amount of 212 polyurathane mastic no corrosion for us plus the cover has adequate room for detritus to fall or be washed out main consideration is stopping the attack from the road wheels which is the start of all chassis problems.

just an update took the car to sca this afternoon for the tracking camber etc. etc. to say it now feels tight would be an understatement plus the electric power steering is very adjustable mind i would say that.
