The spec for the engine is basically reworked standard engine with an scpower blower with my mods to timing issues etc.running vectra matched injectors reason for blower as opposed to tuning is nice docile engine low down for bimbling around then a mad thing when clogged.

another good day today built a press to remove the bushes from the wishbones and shocks, plus pushed them all out, second coated the manifolds and crossover, needle gunned the bearing housings from the rear axle plus stripped the shocks down and cleaned them up for paint, springs are the only thing to be powder coated it really is the kiss of death on anything else, just a few pics to illustrate the ongonig work, thanks for looking

p.s.last pics are a couple of pics from two recent project might be of interest, fordson was a complete rebuild, logsplitter just something i always wanted.

not a bad day yesterday, cleaned up the other rear bearing carrier and got the parts finally cleaned for paint, then etch primed them and undercoated so ready for top coat monday, dont sound much for a days work but prep takes time, also stripped some of the gauges out ready for the new dials plus took delivery of the autograss powered steering column so i can get to work on the carbon fibre work to strengthen the dash fixing area plus the brackets and stiffeners to the pedal box.

Standard shocks are very good in my view never got on with adjustable you just end up continually playing, tvr produced a good handling car so as the shocks are nearly new just painting everything to the new colour scheme orange and black i do like something to look good as well as perform good terrible english.

well i`ve been at it again and have made some more progress the oil pump is fitted plus a new filter and as the mechanics of the engine are all there i like to prime the oil ways, ends, rockers etc., to achieve this i drive the oil pump with an attachment that fits the lug on the pump drive with a battery drill you can also check the pressure relief is working etc. with a manual gauge fitted where the sender is, all went well it is suprising the torque required to turn the pump at 1000rpm which equates to 2000 rpm of the engine,i have also finished the detailing on the rocker covers and fitted them then more cleaning all the wheels and pulleys for the front of the engine are now ready for paint plus all the sundry brackets for the transmission etc. are painted ready to fit just the gearbox to go now just a few pics of the work.
