Looking good... I have to say that whilst I've seen and read a lot about rotten outriggers I've not seen the centre section of the chassis rotten as per your pictures... Looks like the car would have almost broken in two had you not caught it when you did.

Its not to frequent but if the heater pipes leak at some time they do tend to corrode in that area the secret when doing chassis work is to shotblast before you start as it always turns up some unexpected rot just like the little holes in the top rail, didnt notice anything before powder coat looked good but rusted underneath.

another good day got nearside outrigger on plus welded on all the new fixing nuts to the brackets, made a couple of brackets either side to fix stone protectors to the front rails once its back together plus fitting light channel fixings for the seats dont like the idea of them just fitted to the glassfibre, finish them tomorrow and take it back to prospray for final blast, zinc rich, zinc phosphate and g5 black topcoat then on with the engine build that is all back tomorrow so its all happening, just acouple of pics to update chassis work. john |http://thumbsnap.com/RBEcefBi

John, I'm away tomorrow for a couple of weeks, but would love to come and see the car whilst it's still in bits... When will you start getting it back together?
Cheers,
