Bit slow in posting this - but two weeks ago I went and picked up the car from my Dad. I travelled up by train so I could drive it back. Apart from a last minute panic with the radiator bleed bolt which needed re-soldering everything was perfect. I drove it down to Stansted services with my Dad trailing (somewhere) behind - to just make sure there were no last minute issues.

It just about fits in my current garage (see pictures) - luckily soon going to be a double garage with room to play more easily!

Only a few runs out - firstly to the Berkshire Monthly meetup which beastie got a lot of attention, and also a quick trip down to the Gurston Down hill climb.

I dropped it off this Sunday back up to Norfolk to have it's first proper rolling road having done enough running in - so looking forward to the results, I will be driving it over to Chatsworth (from Norfolk) on Saturday - so look out for us if your going.

As you can imagine I am super proud of the work my Dad has done and the support everyone on PH has given, this is a one of a kind and something I will never ever sell. But did also want to make the point - this was also a project that (hopefully) turns into more work - so anyone who has enjoyed the incredible workmanship that has gone into the car - do drop him a line if you want anything bespoke making.

Lastly if you have not already seen the new site with all of the posts + future stuff my Dad is working on (will continue to be posted up here on PH as well) - http://tvrengineer.co.uk/

Great car. Followed the rebuild from last October.Don't think I would have the energy
never mind the aptitude to do something similar.Don't envy your garage restrictions!
Built a 6m x4m garage up here in North Donegal to house my Westfield and have now added Griffith 500.
Managed to squeeze both in but like yours not much working space, despite loft provision.
You are permitted to build up to 6m x 4m here without planning permission!! A friend nearby
did the sensible thing and built a detached garage that houses about 12 cars incl Ferrari 328,
Esprit Turbo, Maserati Merak, 911,7 litre Corvette etc etc. No Tvrs though!

I thought I would give an update as it has been a while since I got the Orange Beastie home - I have now put 1200+ miles on it so pretty much run in - I have not yet had a chance to get it back up to norfolk for a second roll-road session to properly map it now the fuel pressure problems are sorted. Emerald were very helpful and built a map remotely that is 80%-90% accurate, we think were now in the 340-350BHP range.

I have done two events so far, Santa Pod and just last week went and did a evening session at Brands Hatch - (photos below).

Two upgrades now planned out - because of the failed rev-counter + speedo I decided to spend on a Race Technology DASH 2 - so needs a new dash cutting again and a bit of wiring - it integrates with the Emerald nicely so I can pickup various live numbers and feed them into the Dash, it also tracks G-force etc. Will be great for future track days.

Secondly my day at brands made me realise all the other upgrades e.g. bigger brakes, bigger engine + 888's really showed up that the standard shocks were not up to it, I was getting a lot of body roll and so starting research - most likely some Nitrons to be ordered.

Santa Pod

My second run achieved a 1/4 mile of 12.906 - not too shabby for a 4.0 Litre smile

Brands Hatch

First a quick top of various oils + fluids before setting off down to Kent.

And here is a video of one session, this included me taking out someone else who had never been in a TVR so I kept it reasonably sane.

I would have a chat with Nitron, I went for standard Nitrons but slightly stiffer springs would of been better.

They will also balance the shock absorbers with the spring rates .

I'd have a word with Chris at Centre Gravity before you start playing with the suspension, it'll be cheaper in the long run and will give you a car that handles exactly as you want it.

Well here i go again the orange chim is back for some upgrades it has had nitrons fitted to stiffen up the cornering but the more interesting bits are a new racetech dash for the main display also uprating the engine fitting a smaller pulley to the blower bigger injectors and a rising rate fuel reg plus one or two smaller upgrades the car has performed really well so hoping to get the best out off her.

Not sure on spring rates nick got them done at straight eight tyres are 225 front 245 rear and the arbs are standard rose jointed and the inner wings are standard apart from the access to the lupo headlights.
