The warning lights for brake fluid, handbrake, MIL dont work, I seem to either have earth or ignition live across each bulb, non have a live and earth??? Should any of these turn on when I turn the ignition on?
None of these have worked while Ive owned the Chim and I know the handbrake one will never work till I replace the switch as I noticed last week when the exhaust was off that the centre is missing from the switch!

I also noticed when I pulled the lower panel out today that 2 wires are not connected and I have 2 spare terminals on the centre dip beam switch is this normal or should I connect them up as everything works with the lights. One is blue/red and the other white/red
Any help or ideas appreciated
Mike

Well after much searching I seemed to have found a couple of other people have found 2 spades disconnected while the lights still work ok so that might now just be TVR wiring!
Would still like to know though if any of the lower dash warning lights should come on when you turn the IGN on???
Or a picture of others wiring to the warning lights incase somebody has connected them up wrong in the past???

When I switch the handbrake light (middle one?) comes on. MIL and Brake Warning (the other two) do not.

But, TVR wiring can be different on every car!!

Engine management bolleauxed - or ECU fooked.

As for M I L I reckon it is Management Info Light - thats my guess..

According to my original owners manual - M.I.L is the "Fuel Inection Warning Light". it goes on to basically say "if there is a problem with the efi system, or a failure in the emissions system, it will light up red".
I choose to ignore all my dash lights as them not lighting up, or staying on in a TVR is completely within the tolerances of the mickey mouse wiring. Anyway, if the engine finally does blow, theres an excuse for a 5.0l rebuild.

M.I.L actually stands for "Malfunction Indicator Lamp."

Didn't find what I was looking for in this thread though spin
