I had a viewing of my Chim today, i say viewing as she wouldnt start!!(the poor guy drove for 2 hours to see it)
I started her up this morning to reverse out the garage so i could hoover the carpets etc and it started on the button as it always does.
Half an hour before the poor guy turns up - i thought i would juggle the cars in the carpark - and she wont start!!!! -

Anyway im looking at possible ideas to the cause

Ive got a strong crank (until the battery died)
The Fuel pumps priming and i can hear fuel in the reglator
i Pulled a plug and it doesnt seem to be flooded
its got petrol in it

So could i have an ecu issue (megasquirt)
Coil pack died? How would i test it?
Imobilizer? Wouldnt that stop the fuel pump priming?

Any clever ideas?

Just do basic checks first.

DO you get fuel and a spark when cranking?

If not work back from there. most of this stuff you can test with not much more than a test light and a bit of common sense - don't panic!

Think the cars trying to tell you something, it dont wonna get sold.

Take it the buyer is no longer interested or is he understanding.

Ecu fault - not likely

Spark problem - possible. Pull a plug and test for a good spark.

Flooded - most likely, seen as though you only ran it for a very brief time before switching ot off. This being the favourite way to flood them.

I`d get some new plugs in and go from there.
