Thanks for the ride, I was totally shocked by its performance. It has the performance and handling you expect from cars costing more than £200,000 and therefore it's an absolute performance bargain.
The finish and engine bay layout shows you were very meticulous with every minute detail from the stitching on the seats to the design of the exhaust manifolds that are neatly tucked away under the chassis.
It's a real master piece of engineering that looks & feels like a mass produced car not a modified TVR.
Thanks again & hope to see you around. Regards Steve (not so) Sprint in my sedate 4.3 Griffith.

Righto, latest.... Turns out rear wheel centre badges were "mislaid" at some point in the past.... To be honest doesn't look at all dramatic in photos, should more so in the flesh... more pics on Personally (Chilli speaking here) it looks very average ETA Sorry no links.

Aesthetics has never been top of my priorities and i reserve judgement until the car is completed and proved with performance numbers etc. I look forward to seeing it in the flesh and am sure will be nothing but impressed overall. I certainly wouldnt make insulting remarks even if something was far from my personal taste.
Good to see its coming together nicely. I hope it gets used and abused as it deserves after such a long time out of action.

Photographs can be very misleading, and the wheels, hood and interior have yet to be done. He's seeing it in the flesh this morning, so hoping for an update a bit later

Going back a while but someone on here had a Chimaera repainted in R5 Turbo pearl, with black wheels - most people who saw it said it looked the nuts.
Hilton and Moss had Griff that had been repainted in white pearl (blue hood?) a while back too.

Geordieexpat brought his freshly painted pearl white Sagaris to Chatsworth and it looked stunning even in the dull overcast weather so it must look amazing in proper sunlight, I bet this is equally as stunning.
Pictures rarely do subtle paint jobs any favours.

I agree that Sags and Cerbs look the nuts in a pearl white and similar. Never seen a Chim that looks to suit it yet IMHO. I do agree that the interior and wheels may make all the difference.

Sounds like a result "dependent on light conditions and angle of the sun it runs through white, silver, gold, mauve (like purple illusion) and so on. It's going to look great when it's finished" I do believe he may have even smiled today

Sorry if thats the finished item it`s naff .. Do you mean this Chim? (don't have a link but I saved the pic 'cos I like the older style grill/dog bite/indicator arrangement) Or California Sage Green as per my old Griff (see pic in my profile) Oh, and I quite like the new colour of JD's Chim, really glad he's still doing the blog.

Another piccie... The "marks" are bits of post it indicating tiny imperfections, literally pinhead sized, that the paintshop want to correct. The reflectiveness of the paint and colour effects are real, not flash glare !
