Cheers Mac, kiss of death I think it's called wink

Just for the record, my chum, who doesn't want to be named, for reasons of his own, simply thought we might like to get the occasional update on his project. I think it's a project we can all gain lessons from, and it's no names no promo and no dissing... just interesting TVR stuff.. wink

If its having eather a new or upgraded chassis why is it still intact ? Removing the chassis at a later date could cause damage to the body .

Another update and response to some of the questions asked..

The paint shop owner has a Sag, a Cerb and an SC chim himself (in reverse order of desirability wink )

He has just painted the Cerb before body off and reassures that if lifted correctly there's no reason why the body/paint should be damaged. The chassis guys have been well briefed.

Besides, the chassis guys have committed to cover for repaint in the unlikely event of damage. The paintwork is coming with 5yr warranty.

Agree it's a bit odd to paint first but there's a lead time on the chassis and it was decided to use that time as efficiently as possible - nearly a year since the car was last driven.

Cheers all, Chilli smile

While there at it they could remove some matarial around the rear arches for the 255 tyres

450hp deserves very wide tyres !

I want to manage this build cool

Still doesn't answer why tvr power r not using their approved bodyshop ?? Who cares what the guy ownes what's that got to do with the price of fish, the last guy that builds engines might have had a tvr does that help with the decision errr no and ensure a quality job errrr no again

So why not wait until the end result and then publish smile

Wondering what TVR Power and their bodyshop have to do with this, I don't believe they're doing any work on that car.

I think you will find that most of the TVR specialists have moved shop in to smaller premises ,OK TVR Power is an exception but most of them are feeling the pinch..

No quite chilled this evening, just like to see a happy ending on this one, the references Tvr power is wondering why they recommend another bodyshop rather than their so called approved, what ever approved means these days

Don`t know why painting TVR`s is a big deal ..Can`t see there will be alot of filling ,no rust so once the doors and bonnet is off it`s EasyPiecycool

No chrome work or bumpers to remove so what`s the big deal.?
