These guys are very responsive to e-mail requests.

they've not been responsive to mine yet...

Hmmm. Did you send a query or request for qote/samples?

I have only requested price/samples and received in the post in a couple of days. Haven't asked for e-mail reply on anything.

Asked the company for samples over the phone, arrived the next day, carpet samples with bindings and 22 peice plan which looks to cover everything.
Will be ordering in the next few weeks. Job for the winter months - probably be able to do it later this month then !!!!!

Did they start fitting smaller batteries then?
Same size, but higher ampage I believe. Not sure exactly where they found the space, but I've sat in older Chims & they definately have less passenger legroom.

the early cars had the smaller battery IIRC. The battery box was modified and relocated to below the fuse board in the later cars as opposed to being "suspended" above it in the 93-94 models.

How big a job is this? Do you have to remove much in the way of trim etc???

Hi there,

Well my set has arrived and looks ok. A bit of a jigsaw puzzle and looks like no door carpet peices were included (I called and they are posting me some more carpet for the job)

Trial fitted as have already ripped out the carpet.

Ease.... well its not easy as you need to remove all the trim people always avoid touching (ie seats out, door trim out, hood loosened, seat belts off, centre console off etc etc) but I am doing it while sorting out a few other odds and sods without risking damaging the carpet etc.

Wish me luck over the weekend!!!!

urmmmm... they will make anything if you send them a template (paper or original carpet).. depends if you are after an exact colour/type match as they have a limited colour range.

If you just need a section of carpet you can always try Woolies who have a better range (get your sawing kit out to do the edging tho!!)

Indeed.. best of luck.. does the kit also contain all the carpet to do around the rear parcel shelf, or just the shelf base..?

Cheers,
Matt.

I have to dash now to look at some German car for the misses... no comments needed!!

I will give the full tale tomorrow.

In short.... great company, good carpets (but go for the better ones they supply), and fitting delayed by bad weather and no garage.. but only the passenger foot panel now left to fit! )

So mattav, have you done the job yet? Any tips?

What with the two/three week delivery times quoted I'm about to order mine. I was thinking of including some sound proofing to the rear due to the exhaust 'conversion'.
