I'm just replacing my dash and radio panel and after swapping over the switches on the radio panel I was testing that everything still worked. I noticed something odd and wondered if someone else with a pre-facelift (in case it's model dependent behavior) could check something for me?

With sidelight and headlights on I can turn on the rear fog light but as soon as I put my high beams on the rear fog light goes out *HOWEVER* if I have my headlights and fog lights on and *FLASH* my high beams the fog lights stay on whilst the main beams are being flashed. (I checked this by wedging a demisting sponge between the dash and the stalk to hold the "flash" pulled on.)

Thing is I do have two unused / foating push on female connectors in that switch assembly - one a blue with red stripe wire that is looped in from the main loom to one pole of the double-pole-single-throw switch that controls the foglights (that first pole switched output is used to drive the fog lights telltale on the dash) then onto the other pole of the same switch (the second pole switched output goes back into the main loom - I assume to the fog light relay) and then there's a loop out from the switches second pole to this "unused" push on female connector.

The second "unused" female is on a red with white stripe wire that is looped off the same switched output from the sidelights DPST switch that feeds the input to the headlights switch (so that the headlights can only be turned on with the sidelights) - again this seems to be unused.

Both look like they're "original" as they're properly crimped into the push on connectors.

Any chance that someone could check whether their foglight does the same or not?
