I'm actually experiencing scratching around the windows and the boot for some reason... any tips?
Make sure the areas being scratched are clean and free of dirt / grit.

For the boot, make sure the tongue is firmly pulled down into the boot before closing it so that the cover is securely held in place so that it doesn't flap in high wind.

Thanks guys. Seems like a proper layer of wax is the answer. Thinking about getting the car paint corrected so should hopefully be properly "sealed" after that...

If anybody has one of the Leven covers on their car at the moment, would you mind posting a picture of how it fits at the front? I got this cover this week, fits the main roof a treat and the back tucks away nicely. However, whatever I do with the front always leaves a ridge at the base of the windscreen where water collects and doesn't run away.

I'm sure I am mis-fitting it so a photo of one fitted properly at the front will help

Thanks.

Have you popped the bonnet and tucked the front tongue under there to secure it?

Yes.

I've tried wipers on top of the cover, wipers under the cover, tongue under bonnet, tongue over bonnet. No joy.

I also think its a bit weird that the bonnet catch is on the offside but the Leven tongue off centre but also to the offside (ie where the catch is). I'd have though it would have made more sense to have the to the tongue off centre but to the near side.

When I use mine I rarely pop the bonnet and just trap the cover under the wipers. It's made of such good quality heavy material it never lifts and it served my car well when it lived outside for 18months it never collected water though.

I hasten to add, its only collecting water on the outside, its not getting through to the car.

It was just a bit of a pain taking it off the car this morning and trying not to get wet myself.

On the upside, I was driving the car for about 60 miles this morning in the rain. No leaks in the car whatsoever, the demister did a great job at keeping the screen clear (no aircon) and the wipers were really good, something I wasn't actually expecting.

Whoops - The outer feels much more 'water resistant' than the inside, which is more fabric-y!

Only problem I have with the cover is when you lift the boot to remove the rear flap, water pisses off the boot lid onto the flap and into the boot.
Ah well - it's still a great cover (although I can never be arsed to fold it back up, so it gets placed over anything that will hold it in the garage!

JonRB did mentioned a window for tax discs. Not shown on the Leven website pics, but do they still have this? In my case for a Parking Permit!

Otherwise I might have to butcher it.

My cover came from Leven this week and does not have a window to reveal the tax disc.

Hope that helps.
