Those I have pics of, the Chim and 130i are current. 156 GTA - absolutely loved this Alfa, should never have sold it T350c - best TVR I've ever driven but I only bought because it I couln't find my 'perfect' Griff at the time. Along came the perfect Griff, away went the T350. Another one I should never have sold, but working at sea meant it never got driven, such an idiot Griff and 156 GTA went at same time replaced by an M3. Utterly brilliant car, properly quick, went round corners like nothing else but I never really fell for it. A change of job meant I had to downsize to a 130i. Great little car with such a sweet and grunty straight 6, I missed the M3 way less than I ever expected. Downsizing (saving money) didn't last long, the urge to get back in a TVR was overwhelming. Would have prefered a Griff but Chim's are much better value for money and I've really bonded with this 500.

Had the Stag for 8 years. Lovely car and much better than their reputation. Nine out ten times someone spoke to you about it, they would say one of the following: does it have the Rover V8 in it?/My mate had one of this and it was always going wrong/Is this the straight 6 version?/does it overheat? I also had a few weeks with a TR6. Always wanted one and this one was not the best car I have ever purchased... Came home on a low loader, had two more trips on a low loader over the three weeks I owned it and was sold to a dealer, who took is away on his low loader!. Still tempted by getting another one though!

Both car were when I was in my twenties and lots of others but these were my favs the Capri I had for 10 years & the running gear was mental I loved owning the Stag and as mentioned already not as bad as people make out (just like they do with TVR's) the maddest thing I owned was a MK1 Ford Transit van with a proper 4v FE 390 BB Ford motor and tricked up C6 gear box and converter great for striping the Tarmac ................................. Got to say some stunning cars on here chaps

brett84 said: Thought we would have a little picture fest to see what cars Chim owners have or have had in the past? Anything unusual or different? Post them up I'll start with the 'unusual and different' end of the spectrum. It doesn't get much more different than a Sylva Leader. Hugely underrated cars though - 620kg and 150 bhp gave it a similar power to weight ratio to a Chimaera! This Quantum 2+2 was actually my first car and technically I still own it (albeit in bits). This being PH, I have to bring out the MX5. It was a pretty hardcore one too (relatively speaking), an RS-Ltd. The best handling car I've owned. Brilliant as a weekend toy. And I suspect you can work out what this one is. Really regret selling it actually - one of the best cars I've owned. Other stuff includes: MG ZS 160, Porsche 924S, Porsche 924 Lux, Peugeot 205 GTi 1.9...

Not my old car but the same colour at least. It's the one car I regret selling more than any other and I still miss it almost 9 years later;

Certainly is! 3.5L early original factory model although not with original engine. This one (when I bought it in 1984) came from a Rover P6 - so I'm reliably informed. SILICONEKID340HP said: Looks like a V8 !

Chim is so much more civilised - Cobra was great in straight line speed but a dog on corners. Also suspension was rock hard - a real filling loosener. But I had her for 9 years and loved every minute. The Chim however is different class. Performance as good/better + power steering!! and the soundtrack well I thought the Cob was good but the Chim is just awesome.

Have heard this said a number of times with the Cobra's You can get certain kits with full inependent suspension ,I saw one at the Newark Kit car show ,looked pretty much like a TVR Chimaera underneath ..Jag back ends are old hat !

First RWD car was a Nissan 200SX S13 fitted with Khumo balloonatic tyres. A gentle introduction to power-oversteer. Then... This ran around 230bhp. Quite tractable on Michelin Pilot Sports and not the mid-engined oversteer death-machine that some reckon. Looked standard, but Schrick Variable Geometry Intake & 268 cams, Konis, H&R springs, Supersprint exhaust. An epic car, really wish I'd hung on to it Despite a mighty 115bhp, S-Spec with Bilsteins & LSD. A complete hoot of a car, and one of the most entertaining I've owned. Loved the arrowhead looks, 9000rpm engine, aggressive LSD, noise and performance. Not so keen on feel-free steering. Did a straight-swap for my Chimaera after having it for 4 months. Would have another though, if I had to have a 'sensible' sports car.
