PVN said: My 450 runs happily around town doing 30 in 4th gear and pulling smoothly away. The only time it didn't was when I was forced to put 95 octane in. It really didn't like that at all. Just wondered if you are using a good 98 octane - v-power or similar? My engine is built for 98 octane, so that's what it gets. I can smoothly pull away from rest in 3rd if needs be, that's not an issue at all. Relative to others I've sampled, mine is very smooth and flexible. But at very light throttle openings, it will always be happier at > 2,000 rpm than when it's forced to run just over tickover - there's a cam with pretty serious overlap pulling from a single plenum.
