I hate cars! Decided to take the TVR to work this morning.
Got in, fuel pumps primed and car started.... put the radio in (had taken the fascia off the other day) and while I was doing this the car cut out (without warning).
Went to re-start the car and the fuel pump wasn't turning over... didn't have time to check it over so will have to take a look tonight.

Let me see:
1) Speedo packed up 2) MOT - Alternator discovered to be the reason for the speedo failure 3) Replacement alternator failed 4) Need to sort the outriggers 5) Relays knackered (symptom not cause)

That's working ok - just seems to be a loose connection in the door mirror (wiggle the door mirror a bit and it starts working again...)

Mine won't start now. Service and MOT 2 weeks ago, all good apart from the invoice. Battery is fully charged, pump primes, but try to start and there's absolutely nothing - no clicking, no turning over, nothing. If I had a gun I would shoot the car.
Immobiliser?

Are you getting fuel and are you getting a spark. If not getting one of these then works backwards. Possibly ignition amp? FFG

Mine broke down on the way to getting it serviced - the engine turned, full pump primed etc etc but did not start.
The AA man found a wire that was shorting on the rocker cover and only spotted it by chance - taped up and turned the key - vvvrrroom!

Another one to add to the list then mate! I've been down at my folks for a couple of weeks looking after their dog - back on Tuesday night so hopefully will get a chance to get a look at the car again. Although I do need to crack on with getting the new floor down in the bathroom.... priorities!

If you wanted an extra set of hands (To tap things with spanners while you are turning it over, etc) then I am free next weekend if that could help?
